Merits of democracy :-
1.it gives people right to vote
2.it is open of charge
3.it gets the people involved
4. It promoter equality
5. It allows people to voice out their issues

Demerits of democracy
1. It opens an opportunity for corrupt officials. Elected politicians will have access to budget for government projects
2. It can lead to wrong choices when it comes to the government leaders basically seat in office is free for all, aspiring politicians who do not have enough skills but are not able figures like actors will be elected (for example we take care study of jamison which is having a movie actor pawan kalyan as its later)
3. It makes voting personal choice
4. It takes time to make decisions
5. It favours the majority

Finally i conclude that there is no perfect from of government all have it's ups and downs
