Auto Expo 2023: Tata Power to Set Up 25,000 EV Charging Points Across India Over Next Five Years

Leading EV charging solutions provider Tata Power on Friday said it has started a nationwide plan of setting up 25,000 electric vehicle (EV) charging points across the country to support faster adoption of e-mobility over the next five years. The company is showcasing its range of hi-tech electric vehicle charging solutions at the ongoing Auto Expo 2023 in Greater Noida. A first-hand experience of the technology that is driving Tata Power's widespread EV charging network -- EZ Charge -- was provided to the visitors, including one of the most downloaded mobile apps for EV charging -- Tata Power EZ Charge, according to a statement from the company. The app helps commuters find the nearest charging station, know the real-time availability of charging points, and receive updates on charging status, amongst many others, Tata Power said. Samsung to Use microLED Displays for Its Future Galaxy Series Smartwatches: Report

Samsung is reportedly planning to incorporate microLED displays for its future Galaxy series wearables. Currently, the South Korean electronics manufacturer uses microLED technology for its high-end smart TVs and packs OLED displays for its Galaxy smartwatch lineups. It also supplies smartwatch OLED panels to other brands including Apple. Compared to TFT and OLED screens, microLED is a superior display technology with a higher colour gamut and less power consumption. Samsung Display reportedly started a microLED display development project last year and assigned a team to commercialise microLED displays for smartwatches. Apple is also rumoured to use new screens on its high-end wearables from next year. Intel debuted the 13th Gen Intel Core i9-13900KS desktop processor on Thursday. It is claimed to be the first desktop CPU to reach a speed of 6GHz without overclocking. The chip is based on the flagship Core i9-13900K chip, which peaked at a clock rate of 5.8GHz. Aimed at gamers and tech enthusiasts, the Intel Core i9-13900KS packs 24 cores and 36MB Intel Smart Cache. It also comes with Intel Thermal Velocity Boost technology, which will enable the processor to reach higher Max Turbo frequencies than before. The latest flagship desktop processor from Intel delivers a max turbo frequency of up to 6GHz. There is also 36MB of Intel Smart Cache for smoothly handling gaming and content creation workloads. According to the chip manufacturer , the Intel Core i9-13900KS packs 24 cores, including eight performance cores and 16 efficiency cores.
