The National Internet Exchange of India (Nixi) is currently allowing people to register .in domain names for free. This deal is being offered as a part of the Republic Day celebrations that began on Thursday. The .in domain can be used for emails, websites, and other applications. This service currently has around 3 million people onboard. People can also get a .bharat domain name for targeting regional users. There is also an option to pick from over 22 regional Indian languages. Nixi announced that as part of the 74th Republic Day celebrations, people can register .in domain names for free till January 29. Domains registered during this period will be free for the first three months. In addition, people can opt for a free personalised email ID with 10GB of space. iPhone 15 series will reportedly offer Wi-Fi 6E wireless connectivity. The 2023 flagship smartphones from Apple are expected to include four models. There are believed to be the vanilla iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus models, along with the iPhone 15 Pro and the iPhone 15 Pro Max/ iPhone 15 Ultra. It is unclear whether Wi-Fi 6E will be available on all iPhone 15 models or limited only to the Pro models. Apple currently offers this connectivity feature on MacBook Pro and iPad Pro models. Suzuki Motor will invest JPY 4.5 trillion (roughly Rs. 2,85,614 crore) through fiscal 2030 in research, development and capital spending to make battery electric vehicles (EVs), it said on Thursday. The Japanese automaker known for making compact "kei" cars said it would invest JPY 2 trillion in electrification and autonomous driving technologies, while allocating JPY 2.5 trillion (roughly Rs. 1,56,915) to build a battery EV plant and for renewable energy facilities. Of the money earmarked for electrification, JPY 500 billion (roughly Rs. 31,380 crore) would be invested in batteries, it said. Suzuki 's announcement comes after other Japanese automakers have rolled out similar goals to catch up with European and US rivals in the fast-growing battery EV market. Twitter will team up with digital ad verification companies Integral Ad Science and DoubleVerify to provide advertisers tweet-level analysis on content appearing next to their ads, the companies said on Wednesday. IAS and DoubleVerify, who have both previously partnered with Twitter , use technology to independently verify that digital ads are viewed by real people. Advertisers use the services to ensure the ads they pay for are seen by potential customers and not automated bots. The extended partnerships come at a time when the social media platform is struggling with falling revenue, as advertisers slash their spending on the platform after billionaire Elon Musk made several changes following his takeover. Amid outrage over a plan to give powers to its arm PIB to police fake news on social media, Union Minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar on Tuesday said that the government will next month hold discussions with stakeholders before the proposal is implemented. The minister said that the rules for regulating online gaming are expected to be notified by January 31 after which these will be tabled in Parliament. "We will hold a separate consultation (on PIB fact check) sometime early next month," Chandrasekhar said when asked about clarification on the proposed amendment to the IT rules 2021. Chandrasekhar also said that the consultation on the Digital Personal Data Protection Act is over and it is being processed within the realms of the government for notification.
